Welcome to Okoboji High School
Okoboji High School is a learning community of over 250 students, 27 teachers, and a number of dedicated support staff.  Okoboji High School takes pride in addressing the needs, and bringing out the talents, of every student.  OHS offers a wide variety of classes to challenge all students.  We host a number of Dual Credit courses taught by teachers with advanced degrees.  Many of our students graduate high school with a number of college credits already earned.  We also offer a number of career and technical courses in areas such as agriculture, business, family and consumer science, and industrial technology.  OHS is a 1:1 school in which each student is issued a laptop computer to use 24/7.  Infusion of technology empowers our teachers to make learning relevant and accessible to every student.  The motto of "create, collaborate, communicate, contribute" is evident every day throughout our classrooms.  An Okoboji diploma is a clear sign of preparedness for whatever path our graduates may choose.

OHS students also excel in a wide variety of interscholastic sports and activities.  Drama, fine arts, forensics, and music are also highly valued in Okoboji.  Our nationally recognized debate program and back to back State Jazz Band Championships are just a couple of examples of our commitment to excellence.

If you are new to the area, or considering relocating, you will find Okoboji High School is an outstanding place to be.  We welcome you to stop in, give us a call (712.338.2446) or email (bdowning@okoboji.k12.ia.us) to set up an opportunity to visit more about all the great things Okoboji High School has to offer.
